Australian Brisbane Expos Baseball
First Days
The first few days of the Expo's seem like a blur now, the mix of excitment and lack of sleep jumped upon us and before we knew it, we were at Redlands.
Highlights being Oakland vs Phillies, the tour of AT&T park, seeing a historic baseball game, via limosine, with the Anaheim Angels pitching a no hitter and still losing 1-0 to the LA Dodgers at LA.
Today we got to Redlands off the bus from Chic's sporting goods where the team spent thousands of dollars on baseball gear in preperation for the upcoming tournament. As we got off the bus, we were greated by a large crowd of Americans who were introduced to us as our host families. Redlands High School then hosted a clinic before the U16's and U18's then went to seperate locations for a pool party each where Redlands baseball team, host families and Expo's mingled and got to know each other.
Tomorrow is the first day of baseball with the team being able to sleep in the for the first time in days before a clinic at midday followed by the opening ceremony and afternoon games.
