Game 3 Anahiem - Rebels

OUR GAME AGAINST ANAHEIM REBELS

It was a very exciting game and played with a lot of intensity. In the first innings we scored 2 runs. Unfortunately the ability of the Anaheim Rebels (an All Star Team) was of a high standard and were able to stop us from scoring any more runs. Their ability to hit and manufacture runs with bunt plays left us in awe. Our pitchers were Joe Mitchell, Danny Kronk, Tex-William Longhorn. All pitched well and they took the opportunity to fine tune some of their mechanics. There were some outstanding plays in the field. Kenny Judge taking a diving catch at third, George Curry assisted by Joe Mitchell threw a runner out at third who was trying to take an extra base, and Tim Shaw throwing 2 runners out trying to steal third. Nicky McGregor Dawson showing aggressive base running taking extra bases from pitches thrown in the dirt lead the way for all the boys showing them how its done. Our hosts after the game treated us to a Mexican BBQ lunch where we exchanged hats, stories and posed for a group photo and a good time was had by all. Noel Shaw 23/06/07
