My son has done nothing but praise the tour - he has had a wonderful time - he has already stated that he wants to return next year. Please accept my thanks to you and all involved.
Thank you, Expos for another great tour. We look forward to the 19th annual tour in 2008.
Please remind Coach Noel Shaw that the word "indigenous" means native to a given region or ecosystem. For example, "Dingos are indigenous to Australia".

About Me:
Steve Chapman is one of the founding fathers of the Australian Baseball Tour of Redlands, California, and has been involved in every tour since it began in 1990. He is currently the Finance Director/City Treasurer for the City of Moreno Valley, California, a position he has held for the past 10 years.
Formerly the Controller and Finance Director for the City of Redlands (1989-1997), Steve was the one who received the phone call in late June 1990 from the Redlands Mayor, asking him and the Redlands Baseball for Youth, Inc. (RBY) organization to arrange an exhibition game with a visiting team from Australia. The Redlands Mayor was responding to a request from the Brisbane Expos coach John "JM" Murray of Redlands Australia. With a four-day notice, the game took place in 110 degree heat on a Friday afternoon in June. The rest is history. The Expos have now visited Redlands, California for 18 consecutive years.
Steve was president of RBY from 1987 - 1996. As an 11 year board member and 9 year President, Steve was instrumental in affiliating RBY with PONY Baseball in 1988, thus enabling Redlands players, for the first time since departing from Little League in 1965, to compete in sanctioned post season all-star play.
Steve is a two-time President of the Redlands Morning Kiwanis Club, and a past recipient of "Kiwanian of the Year." In 2000, Steve received the YMCA's prestigious Roy Coble Award for his years of distinguished service to Redlands youth. Steve has been married 36 years to Rena. They have three children and two granddaughters. On July 3, 1999, Steve became an original inductee into the Expos Hall of Fame.
